Cherry Pie was brought to us by the lovely Binx, who was based out of LA when she made this print!  She’s a funky illustrator from Chicago who wants to explore and inspire the world.  Her work is inspired by her love of cartoons, retro video games and music.  Binx is obsessed with colors and she says she tries not to spout rainbows on a daily basis.  Most of her color choices reflect the mood she wants to convey most in a piece. Rainbows, consisting of the whole spectrum, represent epiphanies.

“My mother would sign me up for various liberal art classes and take me to art fairs downtown, giving me a strong appreciation for the arts in general. My stepfather is a DJ and producer, so he would play records for hours, ranging from classic rock and disco to house. There were so many times where I would get lost in the sound and started drawing. School only continued to be socially difficult, so I began to long for adulthood. I believed I could not only have the bohemian lifestyle I had always dreamed of, but could give that same euphoria I got from art to others. My longing for a better world resulted in me slowly developing my own.”

Cherry Pie’s parents are Granddaddy Purple and Durban Poison.  With buds that are dense and covered in trichromes and orange hairs and a touch of purple, this strain smells of sweet and sour cherry pie.  Tastes a lot like it smells, sweet on the inhale, then the sour earthy kush flavor from the OG Kush comes through on the exhale.

The effects have been known to come on in minutes and stick around for a couple hours.  Although Cherry Pie is an Indica dominant strain, it isn’t too heavy and you can still function and get things done.  This strain has a good mixture of both head and body, leaning a little more towards body.  It is very calming, yet it doesn’t knock you out.  Has been used medically as muscle relaxant, pain relief, insomnia, appetite increase, anxiety and stress.

As far as Califari is concerned, Cherry Pie is perfect just after a nice candle lit dinner for two, when its time to get really lit.  It's the perfect precursor for those Netflix and Chill kinda nights, where you just wanna ride the couch into deep space.
